Steep sites often hide a few surprises. This Hazelbrook project involved reducing vegetation pressure and improving access through a difficult bushland interface area. While working through regrowth and hidden obstacles, the mower occasionally found old stumps concealed beneath the vegetation — including a few sucker-growth stems attached to original stumps that were larger than they first appeared. You can hear one of those encounters in the video, but the machine handled it without issue and work continued. The objective wasn't to clear everything, but to selectively reduce vegetation, improve manageability and support ongoing bushfire mitigation on the downhill side of the property.
